Commercial & Industrial Mechanical Contractor · Loveland, CO · Est. 1991

We service, build, and engineer mechanical systems.

Air-Systems Engineering maintains, constructs, and engineers HVAC, hydronic, controls, and process mechanical systems for manufacturing plants, laboratories, cleanrooms, schools, and municipal facilities across Northern Colorado. Hire us for one of those. Or for all three.

What we do

Three capabilities that keep sharpening each other.

Each one stands on its own — a service agreement, a mechanical bid package, a design. What makes ASE different is that they sit inside the same company, so what one learns, the others use.

Service → Engineering

Technicians know how equipment actually performs after ten years in a building — where it fouls, where it short-cycles, what nobody can reach to service. That goes into the next design.

Engineering → Construction

Reading design intent the way an engineer does means conflicts surface during coordination instead of in the ceiling, and equipment gets selected with installation and access already considered.

Construction → Service

The people maintaining a system understand how it was installed, how it was commissioned, and how it was meant to operate — because in a lot of cases they installed it.

Construction → Engineering

Field experience is what keeps a design from being theoretically correct and practically miserable. Constructability is settled on the drawing, not argued about in the field.

Built on service experience

Long before we engineered systems, we were fixing them.

ASE was founded in 1991 as a service company, and service is still the backbone. Our technicians spend their days in operating buildings, diagnosing systems that were designed by someone else, installed by someone else, and asked to run for twenty years. That experience is why our drawings account for what actually happens to equipment — and why owners who started with a service agreement keep calling us for construction.

In practice

What that looks like on a job site

Process pipingWelded 316 stainless hazardous exhaust, modeled from existing conditions in Revit, prefabricated off site, and installed inside an operating ISO 5 cleanroom at a federal laboratory.
Occupied facilitiesSixteen rooftop units replaced over two consecutive weekends on a running manufacturing campus. Every unit was operating by start of business Monday.
Process coolingA 125-ton chiller paired with a waterside economizer, designed and installed as prime contractor for a laboratory whose work never stopped.
Emergency serviceA 40 HP pool supply fan motor failed at a recreation center. The unit was running again within 24 hours — including a 260-ton crane mobilized with our rigging partner.
CoordinationExisting-conditions Revit models built for renovation work in live buildings, so conflicts show up on a screen instead of above a finished ceiling.
Relationships

Owners who keep calling back.

Most of these started as a service relationship and grew into construction work. Several have run for more than fifteen years.
